INFINITUM Squash Welcomes New Teaching Pro, Matt Sidaway


INFINITUM Squash welcomes new Head Pro, Matt Sidaway, who will be supporting Director, Nick Taylor in our growing program. Matt will be arriving in early April and available for lessons immediately.

Matt comes from the U.K. where he was the number 1 ranked English junior in all age groups, representing the English national junior team for three European Team Championship wins and over 50 caps, globally. Matt was also the number 1 ranked junior in Europe and winner of over sixty English national events, including the British Junior Championship.


Matt is an experienced and passionate coach, having forgone a professional playing career to pursue coaching. He is experienced with all levels of players from beginner juniors and adults to elite juniors and professionals. Prior to joining INFINITUM, Matt was the Lead Coach and Director of the Manchester Squash Academy and Head Coach at the England Squash - Aspire Programme, which is "focused on enhancing players with potential above county level to create a sustainable succession of players into the England Development Programme (EDP) and offer a quality environment where the best players in a region can come together to train. Aspire players will be in contention, alongside the EDP players to represent England junior squads at European and World events." Matt's experience at Aspire resonates strongly with INFINITUM Squash's junior development vision and his coaching experience will be a phenomenal asset for our members. Furthermore, Matt was coached by Nick Taylor through the entirety of his playing career. His technical and tactical coaching principals and overall teaching philosophy were learnt from Nick, which will be an invaluable asset towards creating an unrivaled coaching environment at INFINITUM Squash.
